Projects

MetaXar | Proximax
2022-2024 | Technical Artist
I mainly worked as a technical artist for their platform's Metaverse. I worked on initializing, assisting, and establishing the game design document, making the development pipeline for the platform, plotting future features, and leading the visual direction.

Takyan | Subzi Ltd.
2020 - 2021 | Technical Artist
I was contracted to help create a mobile game for a company branching out to game development. I was in charge of making the environment art & design, optimization, and VFX. I also assisted in other fields communicating with management and marketing teams.

Atomblitz | Night Owl Digital
2019 - 2023 | Technical Artist/Founder
This is a small start-up indie studio that my former colleagues and I made! I mainly worked as the team's Technical Artist. We led a team of 7 during this time and we worked mostly part-time on this project. I was responsible for making the initial game prototype, VFX, experimenting on visual features that could be implemented to the game, and UI/UX Implementation.
I also handled external relations for non-game dev related work!
Background
I'm a self-taught indie game programmer/technical artist, currently based around Cebu, Philippines. I have 4-5 years of experience and I work with almost anything graphic-related, but mostly video games.
I started working on my own tech demos and video games around 2016-2017. My old college buddies and I dabbled around with Unreal Engine and Unity. Fast forward to the present, I now work mostly as a contractor looking for new projects and endeavors where I can make an impact, learn, and grow.
As an indie game programmer/technical artist, I take a lot of joy in experimenting, studying, and implementing new gameplay mechanics, visual effects, as well as different asset creation tools. I also love working with different aspects of the game, which is the reason why I became a technical artist. Having to work with either different skills or teams that are responsible for either visual or gameplay aspects, always gives me a fresh perspective on finding new ways to make new experiences.
When I am not working, I'm probably investing time in a personal project or practicing martial arts. I actively practice two disciplines at the moment, both Eskrima and Boxing.
I'm always looking for potential clients with projects to work on, so if you think that's you, send me an email or message me on any of my socials!
